A foremost logistics and transportation company with head office in Lagos is looking for Head, HR & AdminDIVISION: Head Office, LagosDEPARTMENT: HR & Administration REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Group Assistant General ManagerJOB SUMMARYPlanning, development, organizing and coordinating the company’s Human Resources, Properties and utilities and providing the necessary administrative support to ensure productivity and performance and ensure that items are procured for office use and that these are maintained and properly utilized for efficient operation of the company.SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONSFormulation and development of the company’s Human Resource Policy.Ensure that qualified personnel are recruited into the company’s operationResponsible for developing staff skills and competence through training and ensuring discipline.Ensure that there is industrial harmony between staff and management.Implement an integrated HR Policy covering Recruitment, Promotion, Job analysis, Performance appraisal, Reward and compensation system, manpower Planning, career Development and management Development Planning.Ensure that departmental targets are met within the specific periodsAttend management meeting and provides input into the company’s policy review.Ensure that enabling environment is created for increased company productivity.Provides advice to management on the best HR practices for improved productivity.Preparation of Budget for Human Resources and Admin. Section.Ensuring that the rules and guidelines as stipulated in the staff Handbook and in terms of employment are strictly adhered toSupervises the maintenance of the corporate Head office Ensure the maintenance of all office equipmentEnsure that utilities are running and bills are settled promptly.Assist in the achievement of the objectives, goals and targets of the company.
