Join our dedicated and diverse staff in their work to improve the well-being of children everywhere.Job Title: Warehouse AssistantRole PurposeSupervising the receiving, warehousing and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies in Borno warehouse.Ensure good stock management in the ECHO, DRF & SIDA Projects. Key Areas of AccountabilityObjective 1:Manage supplies and equipment stock in BornoReception:Acknowledge reception of goods in good order and conditionInspect the quality and check for damageCount and record the quantityCross-check quantities in accordance with delivery formSupervise loading and offloading of goodsPhysical organisation of the stores:Proper installation of commodities in shelves or palletsOrganization of the items in categoryKeep clean the store and secure stocksStore Management:Daily management of the store for cleaning or stockingDaily monitoring of stock levelsDaily monitoring for expiry dates and quality problemsDaily update of movements of goods in/out of the storeEnter all data into stock and bin cardsPreparation of monthly consumption reportConduct of cyclic counts and inventories in accordance to project schedulePlanning of the needs and requisition of re-suppliesSecurity:Check security measures, e.g. locks, windows, buildingReport to the line manager / security responsible in case of problemsRecord keeping and filing:Enter all movements in their respective recordsFile all the documentsCompile report as appropriatePreparation for expedition of outbound supplies:Packing of items according to approved quantities and in proper condition to the means of transportationPrepare waybill and packing list to be sent with each consignment back to main medical storeEnter all data of items leaving the store on stock cards and on weekly reportsObjective 2:Provide general stock management support to the ECHO, DRF & SIDA projectsSupport SCI staff on stock management:Work with logistics to ensure programme procurements are timely and of high qualityCarry out other tasks as required by line managerPrepare periodic narrative and stock reports as agreed with managementSupport programme staffs to forecast and request for supplies as efficiently as possible
