We promote family-friendly flexible working opportunities, where operational and security needs allow.We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:Job Title: StewardRef No: 18/18 LOSLocation: LagosJob Category: Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Residence and Support Staff)Job Subcategory: ButlerGrade: A1 (L)Type of Position: PermanentStart Date: 1st October, 2018Main Purpose of JobThe main purpose of this job is to provide routine stewarding duties and support to the Residence Manager and TeamRoles and ResponsibilitiesAct as cover for events at the Residence in the absence of the Residence ManagerDaily general upkeep and cleanliness of the residential entertainment areasTo keep pantry, drinks refrigerator, and cupboards well stocked at all times and maintain sufficient supplies of other household items, including caring for china and stock keeping silver, cutlery and glasswareConduct regular drinks stock valuationCheck equipment daily to ensure they are in good working condition and promptly report any defects/malfunctions to the Residence ManagerUnderstand and practice the principles of environmental stewardshipLiaise with the Chef on drink requirements for proposed menu for functionsContact additional stewards as required once numbers agreed with residence managerCreate floral arrangements for functionsTo work with the Chef on table setting and managing the food and beverage serviceAssist in the set up and break down of service areas for all special functions (buffet, barbecue, etc).
