NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, emergency food security, and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: Livelihoods and Food Security Coordinator (Agriculture)Location: Maiduguri, BornoJob DescriptionContribute to Core Competency strategy development, project proposals and provide input on needs and gapsManage and implement the agriculture component of the EU funded project (activities, budget and project documentation) as delegated from Project Manager in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements and ensure high technical qualityLiaison with Ministry of RRR, BOSADP and FADAMA in planning, design, development and farming input support schemes and linking it with the rehabilitation of smallholder irrigation schemes in Borno state.Carry out needs assessments to select the most vulnerable families to be targeted for agricultural supportAssist the Project Manager in designing agricultural input support schemes and delivery modalities taking into consideration seasonality, farmer preferences, market needs and environmental considerationsResponsible for coordination with all key stakeholders (particularly FAO) to avoid overlaps.
