Human Capacity Development Consultants (HCDC) Limited is a vibrant and innovative company committed to the goal of developing human capital in organisations for exceptional business resultsWe build organisations to achieve optimum performance by developing their human capacity to peak productivity levelsWe are committed to excellence, service & integrity.International Commodity TraderJob TypeFull Time  QualificationBA/BSc/HND  Location NigeriaJob FieldSales / Marketing   Job DetailsMarketing of Grains and management of all trading procedures including handling various formalities, shipping, documentation for clearance of consignments and logistics; Sourcing of different Grains and agro productInteracting with government departments, regulatory authorities, local bodies, customs authorities, port authorities and ensuring compliance with various statutory obligations;Submission of bid bonds , performance bonds, negotiations in tendersFinalizing freight rates for transport solutions at reasonable costs with cargo movers, transport contractors, shipping lines, freight forwarding contractors for bulk and small consignments for inbound-outbound movement;Handling import purchase and exports pre / post-shipment activities to increase organizational growth;Coordinating for Establishment of L/C and Amendments as per payment terms;Preparing export documents as per L/C terms and as per Buyers requirement;Co-ordination with clearing agents for finalization of BL and daily shipment status;Appointment of surveyor for cargo inspection and follow-up with them for results and issuance of final certificates;Handling operation of purchase orders;Preparing purchase contracts on the basis of confirmation received from suppliers and getting the contract signed from suppliers;Preparing L/C application and L/C amendment draft;Preparing export documents as per L/C terms;Responsible for chartering business for all the vessels of coking coal and other raw materials;Send request to vessel owner for vessel nomination as per the shipping procedures;Handling vessel operations and synchronize information between shipper and ship owners;Check all the certificates of vessel and arrange the acceptance of vessel from shipper through their load port authorities;Track all the shipments lying at port, in transit and day-to-day communication with our clearance department for customs clearance;Responsible for all the finance and insurance arrangements and freight payment to vessel owners;Identify new markets / business development.Handling logistics operations across multiple locations, port areas, procurement areas;Collaborate between feed formulators and plant managers to provide lowest cost options for all feeds, feed ingredients and feed productsPoint of contact for suppliers and external market consultants and resourcesSupport the Commodities group by negotiating cost saving initiatives and cost mitigation effortsDetermines strategic supply objectives using tools and reports for decision making around products and commodity purchasesAssesses supply base and negotiates best cost structureIdentifies and develop a reliable and effective base of qualified suppliersTakes action to address supplier pricing and/or delivery issues; advises management of market conditions and supply base activity which presents significant risk or needs to be elevated to management’s attentionDrive continuous supplier quality improvement through participating in rapid improvement events, supplier quality audits, training and certifications as requiredMay be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing inter-departmental projects to achieve company initiativesMaintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in company systemExecution and monitoring of all regular purchasing dutiesCoordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assignedMonitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/plant on time , select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliersPlan and manage inventory levels of materials or productsMonitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliersFunctional Area: Export, Import, MerchandisingRole Category: Senior Management
