Our mission is to empower millenials in Africa to compete and thrive in the growing gigeconomy, by professionalizing them and bringing meaningful work opportunities to the continent.Headquartered in NYC and Lagos, Hugo is carving out a place in the future of work ecosystem for young Africans, a group that has traditionally been excluded.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: HR PersonnelLocation: Ibadan, OyoRole ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post job ads onlineScreen resumes and application forms based on essential criteriaOverseeing all hiring stages from sourcing to onboardingUndertake clerical duties (e.g. responding to emails and drafting offer letters)Maintain employee database (soft and hard copies)Design, document and implement procedures to streamline payroll processesAssisting in payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus and leavesOversee payroll transactions (e.g. via ebanking)Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and recordsProcess benefit costs, like insurance fees and sick leavesCoordinate leaves of absence and process claims or requests (medical operations, worker’s compensation etc)Analyze compensation related data including wages and bonusesStay uptodate on State and Federal payroll and tax lawsAssess results from our employee performance reviewsForecast costs by department and help create budgetsAnalyze employees’ answers to internal surveys (like job satisfaction surveys)Oversee all staffing needs and operations of the companyEnsure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.Study to become a chartered personnel in the field.
