DCSL Corporate Services Limited - Our client, an Electricity Distribution Company, is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:Job Title: Head, Marketing and Public RelationLocation: RiversKey ResponsibilitiesStrategic:Lead the execution of tasks associated with the achievement of the business goalsStrong focus on the economics and profitability of production or the services renderedEmploy and deploy projects within budget and deadlinesEnsures all Tasks related to Specializations and Functions are duely, regularly and comprehensively completedRecommend for effective Project Management suitable standards and policies that will help to improve areas of expertise and the organization’s operations at largeEnsures compliance to all laid down policies of the company identifying where amendments and provisions are needed for enhancementsOperational:Establish a presence of the reputation of the company in the mind of the Public, entrenching the values of the company through Public for a using adequate media platforms to execute thisTo achieve these Public Relations activities, ensure the following are done:Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations, often via telephone and emailResearching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted mediaCollating and analysing media coverage and writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reportsPreparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmesOrganising events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours;Maintaining and updating information on the organisation's websiteContributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directivesProvides short-and long term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market dataInfluences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trendsCompletes marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work resultsMaintains marketing staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job resultsDevelops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunitiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Identify main client groups and audiences and determine the best way to communicate publicity information to themDevelops new uses for existing products by analyzing statistics regarding market development;
