Tropical General Investments (TGI) Group is an international investment and holding company with over three decades of experience in building sustainable businesses in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), agriculture, agro-allied, healthcare, chemicals, real estate and oil and gas in 12 countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Republic of Benin, Morocco, UAE, India, South Africa, China etc. with an over 9,000 multicultural workforce.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: General Manager, Sales - PharmaceuticalsLocation: West AfricaScopeOverall accountability of sales function including planning and implementation of sales strategies and involved commercial activities with an objective of expanding the products market and growth.Requires minimal supervision.Includes lead supervisory and managerial roles including new initiatives and strategies.Willing to travel across West Africa for up to 15-20 days a month.Job Specific CommentsManaging sales organization to ensure achieving targeted sales (both volume and value), market share and profitability budgets for entire product/brand portfolio.Ensuring Planning and executing new initiatives and strategies for expanding products market and growth and enhancing distribution width and depth.Exploring and identifying innovative sales channels/avenues/opportunities for products.Strengthening existing dealer and distribution network and its augmentation.Appointing channel partners (distributors and wholesalers) and its effective management.Building competent, effective, efficient and result oriented sales organization.Driving the pricing structure basis market inputs, including analyzing market intelligence on competition, trade, customer expectations, product features, etc and making the strategy.Registering and launching new products and developing new sales opportunities.Strategizing and continuous working towards brand building.Coordination with manufacturing and supply chain function on availability and delivery of products to ensure product availability.Dealing with commercial activities pertaining to sales and marketing functions viz credit policy, controlling bills/receivables, incentive schemes, etc.Monitoring region-wise and product-wise sales, analyzing results and making strategies.Sales budgeting and goals/targets setting along with full P & L responsibility.Implementation and maintenance of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies with specific focus on growth, cost reduction and process improvements.Any other job which may be assigned by the management from time to time.
