 A leading Furniture Company, is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position below: Job Title: General Manager (Sales and Marketing) Location: NigeriaJob DescriptionHe/She  will be  responsible for leading business and managing various aspects of Sales and marketing . He/She must have good leadership and innovative marketing skills, and ability to deal with complex issues tactfully.Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targetsEffectively MANAGE the client databaseFollow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activityProvide MARKET intelligence reports on competitor's activitiesEstablish, maintain and follow up on current client and potential client relationshipsDevelop new ACCOUNTSIdentity and resolve client complaints and enquires promptlyPrepare a variety of status reports, including sales activity, follow up and adherence to goalsCommunicate new product and service opportunities, special development, information or feedback gathered through field activity to the Unit HeadCo ordinate  marketing events such as trade fair and sales exhibitionDevelop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock.Prepare presentation and proposals.Develops criteria and procedures for evaluating and replacing furniture.Reinforce a continual process improvement culture in sales and distribution to improve profitability.Analyze market trends for new opportunitiesStudy competitor's products and plan for framing new strategiesGuide and lead the team of managers in achieving the set targets and goals.Personally manage key relationships with senior level people in select targeted customers.Develop the sales team by reinforcing sales training and utilizing proven sales processes.Identify profitable customers and lead the sales team to build the business with these customers.Oversee the management of the distribution center operations, inventory.
