Our practice is focused and committed to businesses who want to be strategic about their approach to having the right people with the right mindset.We are recruiting on behalf of our client, to fill the position below:Job Title: General ManagerLocation: LagosJob DescriptionThe GM will be responsible for the overall management of academic/non-academic activities of the Institute to include coordination of strategic vision for the Institute, Admissions, quality assurance, data management, Liaisons, marketing and FinanceRole / ResponsibilitiesAdministration Management:Manage the whole institution administrative function and lead all support staff.Supervise and liaise with other administrative staff; academic colleagues, and students;Design and maintain administrative systems that deliver outcomes based on the institution’s aims and goalsDefine responsibilities, information and support for staff and other stakeholdersDevelop process measures that are affordable and that will enable value for money decisions for those managing resourcesEstablish and use effective methods to review and improve administrative systemsDeliver Leadership:Negotiate and influence strategic decision making within the institutionPlan and manage change in accordance with the institution development / strategic planLead and manage all institution support staffDrive and manage policies and planningFinancial Management of Institution:Evaluate information and consult with all units to prepare a realistic and balanced budget for institution activityBudget monitoring, control performance to achieve value for moneyPropose revisions to the budget if necessary, in response to significant or unforeseen developmentsMaintain a strategic financial plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the institution development plan and will forecast future year budgetsEnsures the Institute attracts sufficient funding to ensure its future viabilityManage recruitment, performance management, appraisal and development for all support staffDrive marketing and visibility for the institutionDraft and interpret regulations and deal with queries and complaints proceduresCoordinate examination and assessment processesMaintain high levels of quality assurance, including course evaluation and course approval procedures;Liaise with partner institutions, external agencies and government agencies
