We will ensure that ours is the “Right Chemical Solution"We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: Database Administrator Location: LagosDepartment: Information Technology Division: Infrastructure Operations ManagementReports To: Senior Database Administrator Supervises: Assistant Database AdministratorJob SummaryThe Database Administrator will provide technical expertise in the areas of installation and configuration of software (includes operating systems, Database Administrator application software, office automation software and databases).She/he will administer version control for definition, configuration and management of application software.Job ResponsibilitiesImplement Database Management Plan and ensure implementation accordinglyEnsure the service availability of all systems databasesEnsure the effective running of all Operating systems and storagesProduce daily systems statistics and report exceptionsDevelop and respond to memos/documents for the officeEnsure all databases are well tuned for effective performancePerform systems and database implementations and upgradesManage the tracking of all information on databasesReport operations status to Senior Database AdministratorAssist in providing technical direction in the area of requirement definition, planning, coordination, programming, and implementation of server operating systems and storagesManage deployment and workload of team membersSupervise the planning and monitoring of Systems Performance ManagementMaintains operating systems and systems databases to maximize performanceMaintains operating systems and shared IT infrastructure (storage etc.) to maximize performanceKey Performance Indicator:Frequency of system downtime due to configuration errorsMean Time to RepairCustomer Satisfaction Index on systems availabilityNumber of recorded systems’ outages
