A new joint venture with a Foreign Partner/Investor for a New Port Terminal operations in Lagos State, has necessitated the recruitment of a self-motivated and experienced individual with proven performance track record and excellent references to fill the position below:Job Title: ChefLocation: LagosDuties and ResponsibilitiesMust be able to supervise, coordinate and direct all activities in the kitchen.Estimate food consumption and requisition.Receive and examine foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet the established standards and specificationsSelect and develop recipes based on type of food to be prepared and applying personal knowledge and experience in food preparationsSupervise personnel engaged in preparing, cooking and serving food itemsCook or otherwise prepare food according to recipeDetermine best way foods should be presented and create decorative food displaysDetermine production schedules to ensure timely delivery of servicesEstimate amount of cost required for food ingredientsInspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance with standardsMonitor sanitation practice to ensure standards regulations are followedPrepare and cook food of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guest or functions.Coordinate planning, budgeting and purchasing for all food itemsIn addition to preparing African local dishes, must be able to adapt in preparing dishes such as Chinese, Lebanese, French and Spanish
