Sensual flavours, bold designs, artisan texture, these some of our favourite things.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: Bakery ManagerLocation: LagosJob DescriptionEnsures all Bakery personnel use the standardized recipes.Ensures the usage weights and measures to adjust ingredients in recipes.Ensures that preparation and baking of all bakery items for daily product menu and catered events follow standardized recipes.Supervises bakery personnel; duties include planning, organizing,scheduling and directing work, training personnel, appraising and recommending applicants for employment or for discipline, termination or retention.Estimates baking needs, requisitions adequate supplies, inventories supplies, and keeps records of products made and used.Ensures bakery and equipment are maintained according to proper health and sanitation standards.Teaches and enforces safety regulations.Reports on Stock and Personnel usage weekly; with a comparative month on month analysis.To be fully aware of company standards concerning food production, food presentation, food handling, controlling procedures and the Bakery sanitation and health policies.Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing. Checks and ensures that all Bakery products are consistently prepared at the highest quality standard.Ensures all machines and equipment must be kept in good workable condition.Ensure all Bakery personnel are familiar with the handling and cleaning procedures of the respective cooking and baking equipment.Assists in developing and testing recipes.Assists in planning bakery products menu.Recommends equipment purchases.Trains and orients Bakery staff in the Cookie Jar Bakery Food and Nutrition baking and sanitation standards.Physical Requirements:Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periodsMust have the ability to work for extended time periods in an environment with extreme heat and/or lower temperaturesIf applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in a high paced environment, and higher than normal noise levelsAbility to use sharp knives safely and proficientlyAbility to perform repetitive tasks with accuracyAbility to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shiftAbility to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalMay be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
