ROLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT BACKGROUNDOur Client, a reputable and fast growing software company has given us the task to source an Operations Manager (Business Development) who has quality and practical experience to manage the internal operations of the Business Development Unit of an ICT or Software industry.The Client’s office is located in Ikeja Lagos state, Nigeria.JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEWThe Operations Manager (Business Development) reports to the Business Development Manager. The Business Development unit constantly requires to enhance and review the internal operational activities of the Business Development Department. This constant review and enhancement is particularly required to promote simplicity and focus within the department. Essentially, whilst the team focuses on bringing in business and cash into the company, the internal modus operandi need to be highly efficient and constantly monitored to achieve successful results.The Operations Manager (Business Development) is needed to handle the internal operations, thus allowing the Head of Business Development to focus on driving external sales and executing the strategy to hit the units monthly target.The Operations Manager will be largely responsible for ensuring and delivering maximum operational efficiency within the department. This involves working closely with the Head of Business Development to design and implement the operational framework for the department. Furthermore, the Ops Manager will also be responsible for tracking the department’s deliverables, such as team member’s deliverables to each other and the team’s collective deliverables to the company and external clients.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESManage and coordinate the deliverables within the department, thus ensuring that the department meets all her obligations as at when due.Works closely with the Head of Business Development to achieve the following:Secure the resources necessary for the department to achieve her desired goals,Design and implement the operational framework for the department.Enforce strict compliance of the operational framework within the departmentProduce bi-monthly department report (on activities, achievements and required intervention)Prepare department budget and sales pipeline.Appropriate delegation of tasks to other team membersAct as the Chief Operations Officer for the department.Provide support in engaging stakeholders and packaging project proposals and documents for bids.
