Vacancy for Knowledge Exchange Lead at Fintrac Inc.

Fintrac, a leading US-based agriculture consulting firm with long-term programs in Africa, Asia and Central America, is seeking a Knowledge Exchange Lead for the upcoming five-year, USAID/Nigeria Agriculture Competitiveness (AgCompete) Project.The purpose of the Agriculture Competitiveness (AgCompete) Project is to strengthen agriculture productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers in Nigeria. The AgCompete project will be composed of three main components: design of the Agriculture Competitiveness Fund for private sector partnerships and funding to catalyze technological innovations; administration of the Agriculture Competitiveness Fund to develop private sector partnerships and provide grants; and technical assistance that directly supports, coordinates, and organizes qualifying recipients (i.e. partners and grantees) to achieve USAID/Nigeria’s food security objectives. The AgCompete Project will contribute to the Mission’s Feed the Future strategy, which looks to improve agriculture competitiveness of smallholder farmers in Nigeria.The Knowledge Exchange Lead will oversee knowledge management, marketing, and communications for the AgCompete project.  This position is responsible for knowledge management strategy development and implementation, developing key program messages and materials, and managing experts and advocates to assist with content development. This position is also responsible for maintaining the program website, technical articles and publications, webinars, workshops, and other special events.Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of the Knowledge Exchange Lead include:Developing and implementing a comprehensive knowledge management strategy to build AgCompete’s internal and external knowledge capture and dissemination.Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to build AgCompete’s profile and promote the program’s successes among stakeholders, including potential grantees, donors, and staff, agricultural technology experts, and the broader public.Ensure ongoing communication with a broad network of current and potential commercial partners.Developing innovative technology infographics that visually describe how each funded technology addresses a critical obstacle faced by smallholder farmers in Nigeria, in conjunction with Fintrac’s Home Office Communications Department.Contributing to learning events that engage technology distributors in accessing the smallholder farmer marketplace to disseminate lessons learned and best practices identified by AgCompete.Develop a variety of promotional materials for various audiences, including potential grantees, donors and staff, and the broader public.Working with grantees to raise their profiles externally and develop further funding and knowledge exchange opportunities for and among them.Providing outreach, promotion, and branding support to current program grantees, and help address any communications or branding issues they may face.Managing AgCompete’s digital media presence on blogs, twitter, and other social media outlets.Candidates should submit a CV and cover letter.
