Job DescriptionAs a Facility Manager you will be responsible for the management of services and processes that will support the clinical operations of a new Diagnostic Centre. The Centre is newly refurbished and your focus will be to adopt best business practices to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs whilst increasing productivity.Job Duties/Responsibilitiescalculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money;planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives;managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities;liaising with users of company assetspreparing documents to put out tenders for contractors;planning best allocation and utilisation of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organising current premises;checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies;using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement;responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.coordinating and leading one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility;directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling;Management of the organization’s fixed assets and facilitiesRepairs and maintenance of fixed assetsResponsible for overseeing the property development function of the  CentreElectrical & Power Management : Manage electricity – bills and supply, diesel supply & management, generator purchases and maintenanceAdminister an appropriate Asset Management program to maintain and improve the value of the Centre’s assets and provide a safe, reliable and cost effective work environmentDevelop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance system for all machinery, equipment, sanitary systems and civil worksEnsure proper management of contractors, their legal contracts, performance, invoice payments and compliance with schedulesConduct a periodic review of office space allocation in order to identify cases of under-utilization and recommend alternative solutionsEnsure Health and Safety regulations, local authority requirements and accepted codes of practice are effectively adhered toMaintain positive and regular liaison with relevant authoritiesFacilities Sanitation – Ensure facilities are clean at all times, supervise the Sanitation contractor, Manage work schedules and roaster.
